Bio: Dipankar Roy did his undergraduate studies in
Physics at Calcutta University in India. He did his doctoral work at
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute during 1981-86, where he studied
electrochemical interfaces using surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS).
After receiving his Ph.D. in Physics (condensed matter), he did his postdoctoral
research at Cornell University during 1986-1989. His research at
Cornell focused on nonlinear optical effects and ultrafast multi-photon
processes in liquids. He joined the faculty of the Physics Department
at Clarkson University in the fall of 1989. |
