Worked with Weaver & Gordon to do a drastic cleanup and reorganization of the COSI labs, which is mostly finished.
I need to finish documenting all of the books that COSI has in its ownership which took a backseat to the overall COSI Reorganization.
Helped provide feedback & consultation to Amity & Luke about several way to go about doing some aspects of their project. I also Introduced several people of COSI to what they have been doing with game preservation.
I have helped Gordon with their hardware preservation projects
Talks Given:
I ran Juno's how to build a PC workshop for them when an emergency came up on their end, and have ran it a couple other times to other people as desired.
I will be running a workshop on everything to know about storage servers and how to set them up.
I will be runing a workshop on everything people should know about storage servers, which will be a comprehesive guide about everything people need to know when they go to decide how to make their own storage server. It will cover physical hardware, RAID options, NAS vs SAN, networking protocals, drive selection, upgradability, and transport considerations.
I have setup three VMs of OPNsense and set them up to replace my current PFsense router. But when I set them up for High Avability (HA) I must have screwed up some setting which caused my network to lose external conectivity and I have not had the time to sit down to fix it. I have also replaced my DNS server with two more DNS servers.
I am going to continue to work on getting automatic network shutdown for my servers and desktop setup so that way if there is a power interuption my servers have a chance to shutdown cleanly.
I have achieved good prograss due to figuring out what I was doing wrong when it came to authentication for login and finding guides for reccomended way to set it up with my hypervisor of choice.
I have taught several people about COSI, how to build PCs, and given the prospecive student tour passing by speil several times.
