CS142 Teaching Assistant
This one is rather self-explanatory. I held office hours from 10:00AM to 12:00PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, where I assisted students with the homework and course material. I also handled some of the grading for the exams and homeworks, to reduce the work for the instructor.
Halibot
Halibot was a project I started over the summer as an amusing toy to couple with COSI's XMPP server. I spent a good chunk of this semester redesigning and restructuring the backend, to a point where others can develop their own plugins using a (mostly) stable API. Futher information regarding Halibot's design, and module development can be found in this page somewhere in the How-Tos.
Halibot IRC
To union COSI's two main communication channels (being xmpp.cslabs.clarkson.edu and irc.freenode.net##cosi), I developed a module for the aforementioned bot to relay messages between the two.
The purpose is to allow users on IRC to communicate with those on XMPP in the specific channels.
This is a work in progress, and I am still investigating other ways to approach the same problem, as this module was simply a prototype.
COSI's XMPP Server
Technically, I am not the maintainer of comm, but as ElBaha is currently indisposed, and the amount of work I have been doing with XMPP servers necessitated my commandeering of the service.
Setup information for the currently running service can be found on this page under the How-To's, as well as other useful configurations and options.
Currently, comm is running Prosody, using a self-signed SSL certificate, and part of the xmpp.*prime.net network.
7HRL
My entry for COSI's Seven Hour Roguelike was an interesting one: it modifies itself. Picking up an item in the game attaches a new property to your character game object. I originally had plans to save the character's progress by saving a source file with all of the new items acquired, but alas, I did not have the time to implement that. The source can be found on Github with nearly no commenting here.
