Java GUI Encryption

I am writing a program that anyone in general can use for encryption without needing to know anything about it. Unfortunately, the only real way to use symmetric key (block cipher) encryption is to hard-code it yourself. There isn't anything out there that will do the work for you if you just hand it a file. I want to make it easier enough that anyone can just hand it something, and it will (d)encrypt it for you the way you want it to.

Linux Cluster

We are building a cluster out of all the lab machines. It will run LAM and MPI on it. This seems to be what most teachers are familiar with. My project is to mainly write a queuing system that is easy to use and maintain.
