Progress Report

Here's a list of the things that I have done for COSI during the past two weeks.

• Installed Debian on Gonzo

• Fixed the Gentoo mirror on mirror

• Started mirroring Debian Linux

• Entered the OSDL Data Center Linux Initiative with the Xen project

• Installed Ubuntu Linux and Xen on a lab pc

• Wrote a basic client for talking to Xend (This was written in python)

• Setup subversion for the Xen project

• Started a docbook tutorial for installing Xen under Ubuntu Linux

• Myself, Kyle and Rouslan were interviewed about our experience doing desktop Linux deployments for his MBA research. We answered a wide variety of questions.

• Met with Josh Fiske about routing mirror's traffic over the new I2 connection. I received a list of things that we need to do and started doing some of them. We'll need to add an alias to mirror, edit the routing table and change a couple of rsync scripts.

• Began working on a GUI client for our Xen thing.
