COSI
SC Renovation Panel
Visited the panel of architects to take note of their plans and ask questions, specifically about our space and the ITL. Don't be afraid to remind them of our space! They specifically told us to continue to remind them of our storage space downstairs, so that if they find room closer to our lab, they can relocate it there instead!
Security Software for the ITL
Installed a slew of security programs for use in the ITL build.
- Ghidra - A software reverse engineering suite of tools to decompile programs.
- Burp Suite - A set of tools used to perform penetration testing on web applications.
- Autopsy - A forensics platform used to recover data after attacks or accidental deletion. GUI for The Sleuth Kit, among other forensics tools.
- Volatility - Another forensics framework for incident response and malware analysis.
- CyberChef - A web app for encryption, encoding, compression, and data analysis. This one's just a website, but it is extremely useful in application.
- OpenStego - A tool for hiding/extracting data in an unassuming place like inside an image.
- YARA - A tool aimed aat helping researchers identify and classify malware based on pattern-matching.
- GPG - This is actually already installed on these machines. It is a package which encrypts/decrypts with minimal effort.
- Scapy - Packet manipulation program. Enables the user to send, sniff and dissect packets.
- Clamscan - An antivirus/antimalware scanner from the Clam AntiVirus (clamav).
- Loki - Scans for Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), including hashes, YARA rules, and other indicators.
- Redline - Endpoint security tool with which you can thoroughly audit and collect all running processes and drivers, Streamline memory analysis, and perform IOC analysis like Loki.
Open-Source Projects
Cryptune
An audio-based encryption algorithm.
This is an original project created by me, which takes in a string (among other things) and converts it into an encoded series of audio signals that can be either played back through the user's computer, or output to a WAV file. More information about this project can be found here.

Political Polarization and Platform Migration: The Evolution of the Parler Platform
I am working with a group of grad students and alumni at Clarkson on a research project called "Political Polarization and Platform Migration: The Evolution of the Parler Platform". We have just submitted our paper to an ACM Panel recently. Details on my contributions to the project can be found here.
