This program, working title “Cubes”, is a WebGL-based game engine (or game; I'm not sure yet) for worlds made of cubical blocks. The unique feature of this engine is that each ordinary block is itself made out of blocks; each block can be “entered” and edited at 16× scale, and changes will immediately be seen in the outer world.
The game is delivered as a web page; no compilation, installation, or browser plug-ins are required.
The program was written from scratch (other than the third-party incidental library code used as noted in the license information) during the semester.
(Note: I have recorded the audio of this presentation, but not yet transcribed it. When I have done so, I will add it as “speaker notes” to the presentation.)
