Major: Computer Science Information Technology Option
Year: Junior
Lab Hours: Tues, Thurs 1400-1600
Projects:
- Random KDE: This semester I have been
doing random work with KDE.
- FuseISOMount: A small
"Service Menu" for KDE's Konqueror that allows for right
click mounting of ISO images via FUSE and FUSEISO. It
can be found at KDE-Apps.org
- KDE 10 Years KSide: A
small KSide (the graphic alongside the K-Menu in KDE)
that I made to celebrate KDE's 10th Birthday. It can be
found at KDE-Look.org
- Icy Shatter: A random
wallpaper I made while playing with The GIMP. It can be
found at KDE-Look.org
- Ruby: This summer saw me
really get into Ruby. In addition to doing a
presentation on Ruby for the COSI, I have also been
working on a bunch of applications.
- The Highly Experimental
Ruby Shell (THERuSH): The product
of me being bored during the summer, THERuSH is
my ongoing experiment to see if I can write a
system shell akin to Bash and Zsh. Its current
release is 0.9 and is registered with RubyForge.
Its project page can be found here
- RuPac: This is in
more of an experiemental state, though I have registered it with RubyForge.
RuPac my aim to create a library to interface with ArchLinux's
Pacman package manager. Although Pacman 3 will
provide C binding that I can wrap Ruby around,
this will still be useful for Pacman prior to
version 3. This is also a stepping stone on my
way to create a so called "Grand Unified Package
Manager Frontend". The project page can be found Here
