My Goals - 2nd Half
I will borrow from some of the things I didn't do or complete in the first half of the semester -- mainly because those
goals were originally intended to last the whole year. As a revision on the gedit task, I will be writing a plugin using
python to help compile latex files. This seems to be in demand for gedit. I also plan to bug triage at some point.
Both of these will give me better insight into how the open source community operates and maintains progress.
My Goals - 1st Half
This year I mainly plan on learning the ropes to how to submit open source code to a community project. I also want to
learn how to bug triage. These are two major learning goals so that I can become more useful next semester. I also plan
on learning about and installing Arch Linux on one of the COSI computers. I plan on completing an item or two on the
gedit project, and in doing this I will learn a lot about how the open source community operates.
