Most of my time this semester was spent doing three things: fixing bugs and updating software on the various servers, hacking on C code from John Holland's Echo to have it use glib and the gnu auto tools, and working on a graphical policy editor in C# for the app I mentioned in my mid-semester summary. The first thing is never done, but the last two are close to being complete.
The past few weeks I've been looking more towards open source advocacy than writing code, as I would like to see COSI have a greater impact on campus. I've been doing quite a bit of reading (documents from the FSF, OSI, and Eric Raymond among others), hoping to develop a plan for next semester that we could actually accomplish. I have several ideas that I hope to flesh out in the next several weeks after the finals crunch.
12/5 - spent several hours fixing the backup system for our servers as they were all broken because of the animal rebuild and the roles of the machines had changed
Note: most of my weekly status reports were not permanently saved in electronic form.
